    Description

    "END OF THE TRAIL"
    By James Frasier
    circa 1920's
"End of the Trail" originally by sculpture James Earl Fraser depicts a Native American Indian suffering from exhaustion hanging limp on his weary horse.  Statue was a commentary of the suffering inflicted on the native American Indian being driven from his native land and at the end of his trail.
This pair of Art Deco era bookends are in exceptional condition and are Bronze Clad over copper and each weigh almost 3 pounds each!  They stand 8" tall and are 6 1/2" at widest and appear unsigned but they appear to be lightly stamped at one end. Original aged green felt on both bottoms.
These are all original and of the period and have a great bronze patina look!
