Description
This is one of J. E. Came's finest and rarest marquetry tables from the 1870s. The Brunswick and Balke Co. bought out J. E. Came in the late 1800s and continued offering nearly identical examples of their finer models. BTW - It's also very rare to find any early pool table with a base-wood of birds-eye maple. It's a 4 1/2' x 9' model, and has brand new cushions, felt, and top quality pockets.
The solid rosewood rails are absolutely stunning, and have the trademark mother-of-pearl diamond sights the J. E. Came used on their higher end tables.
The shipping cost, of course, depends on where you live, (we're in eastern Iowa). FYI - These tables break down to easily fit into vehicles as small as a standard Dodge Caravan.
We also have some very nice antique cue racks listed (and NOT LISTED) as well, including a virtually un-find-able model that was specifically designed to accompany the Brilliant Novelty model that sits on the floor and is called a "cue buffet". We were in the antique pool table business for more than 35 years. PS: There are still some pretty awesome odds and ends on our old site = "billiard-antiques"......
