This table had patents between 1892 to 1905 which means that it was produced in that era. This table has been conservatively restored keeping at least 90% of all the original wood veneer on the table all repairs have been blended in with the original table, as per our mission statement on the restoration of old tables. One of the things in restoration over refinishing is that we work hard at keeping as much original as possible and it also means that we may not take out all the blemishes after all it is over 100 years old. This is what gives it it's own character, if you want a perfect table buy a new one. This table is well built and very sturdy  in a style and roughness that you find hard to get today.  The slate is 1 1/2 inches thick, it is the best quality Vermont slate, and the pockets have been re-leathered on the original irons.  The rails are solid and are mounted to the slate through captured nuts in the slate giving you mounting and excellent rebound on your rails. The rail caps are of solid rosewood which does not change color. Brunswick used Brazil rosewood which is very hard to find today and very expensive which is why you do not see it used on tables any more. New Brunswick Superspeed cushions have been installed and the table would come with Simonis cloth, color of your choice.
