    Description

    Rare Antique 18th Cen Pewter Dragon Charger Dated 1753.
    This is a rare and wonderful example of antique pewter in the shape of an 11 3/4” charger. It is quite heavy and detailed with a raised order etched with grapes and leaves and the date 1753 at the top. The central motif is of a coiled fire breathing dragon and a emblem at the top etched with castles.  It is European in origin but I'm not sure if it is English, French or perhaps Dutch.  There is the expected wear to the pewter and a small hole at the bottom rim ( please see pictures).
