    Description

    This is a vintage Art Deco cast aluminum horse bookend or door stop.
    Given its great Art Deco look, I would estimate it dates circa 1930s.
    The overall piece measures 8 1/8 inches tall x 9 1/2 inches wide (20.6 cm x 24.1 cm). The base measures 6 1/4 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches deep (15.9 cm x 6.3 cm).
    I’ve seen a number of horse doorstops, but none like this one.
    The entire piece is made of cast aluminum.
    There are scattered spots with green tarnishing. Otherwise, it is in very good condition.
    It weighs 2 lbs. 5 oz. (1.048 kg).
