    Description

    Vintage Composition Carnival Prize Kewpie Doll with Original Sticker, 11”.
    This 11” Kewpie is made of a lightweight composition material, and heavily painted in a rather casual manner. I think the paint is original, bubble marks and all, with an old almost-gone sticker of some sort on the bottom of one foot still present. He is made like the little bisque kewpies, with fixed legs and jointed arms. The red heart Kewpie / Des & copyright by Rose O’Neill sticker is proudly displayed on the doll’s chest. This little guy most likely started out life a long time ago as a cheap prize at a carnival or a fair, and it is cool he is still around fluttering his little blue wings.
