Description

It is in excellent cosmetic condition with some small paint chips/scratches on stand and stage shows its age. I received this microscope from a local university, it had some light dust on, I dusted its exterior, I have not touched any optics or internal elements. You are bidding on a vintage Leitz Wetzlar Ortholux polarizing microscope. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with some small paint chips/scratches on stand and stage shows its age. Please view pictures for details. I received this microscope from a local university, it had some dust on, I dusted its exterior, I have not touched any of its optics or its internal elements. Seems that it has been kept/stored well to have any major issue, most likely it needs optics/frame cleaning and some lubrication. I do not have enough knowledge to check its functions properly. It comes with Leitz Wetzlar Periplan GF 10x eyepieces (one of them is focus-able with a cross-hair in it), photo port has a Leitz Wetzlar P 8x ocular that has a cross-hair in it and condenser has an Apl Oel 1,25 P top lens. It comes with an Ernst Leitz Wetzlar transformer (Type: RERAS) and two light attachments. Transformer has two output sockets that one of them has a chipped edge, its power cord has some 'yellowed' sections, one of the light attachment focusing arm is missing (broken arm piece is still in its holder, please see the 22nd pic) and a glass piece that is located on top light housing socket on stand back has a chipped edge. There is only one bulb that has blackened glass (works/Osram 8100 6V5A). Please note that for some reason, one socket on transformer powers up the bulb, other socket does not power up the bulb/meter needle does not move.
